SnagACall terms of service
Last updated October 5, 2026.
EarlyCo, Inc. ("EarlyCo", "we" or "us") operates SnagACall. These terms are an agreement between EarlyCo and the business that subscribes to SnagACall ("you"). You accept them by checking the Terms box when you sign up for SnagACall or by using SnagACall. If you accept them for a business, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
These terms cover the paid SnagACall service, including its free leads. The postcard demo, setup requests and earlier programs are covered by our privacy notice and SMS terms.
What SnagACall is
SnagACall is an AI receptionist for calls to your business. It is software. No person answers your calls.
- Your business number. Choose an included number for incoming voice calls, or connect your existing number by enabling forwarding with your carrier. Texts and outgoing calls from your SnagACall number are not included. Return calls using your own phone. Conditional forwarding sends only missed calls; all-call forwarding sends every call. Forwarding can replace your carrier voicemail.
- Answering settings. With a new number or all-call forwarding, choose immediate answering, ring your verified phone first, or your weekly answering hours. Press 1 to accept a call; otherwise the receptionist takes over. The phone we ring must not forward back to SnagACall. Your carrier controls ring time with missed-call forwarding.
- Setup. We set up the receptionist for you, using your business name, services, service area, hours and other details from your website and from what you tell us. Check these details, and tell us when they change.
- The AI receptionist. It answers each call routed to it as your business, in English or Spanish. It asks for the caller's name, callback number, address, the problem, how urgent it is and a good time to call back. For some emergencies a caller describes, such as a gas smell, fire or flooding, it gives a short safety instruction, such as leaving the building and calling 911. It doesn't quote prices, book jobs, promise arrival times or give repair advice, and it tells callers that someone from your team will call them back.
- Summaries. After each call the AI answers we email you a summary with what the caller said. Summaries usually arrive within a minute, but we can't promise a time. Summaries are delivered by email. Calls you accept yourself are not transcribed or summarized.
Summaries, including how urgent a call looks, are made by software from what the caller said, and can be wrong or incomplete. The receptionist can mishear or misunderstand a caller. Check with the caller before you rely on a summary. SnagACall is not an emergency service.
SnagACall doesn't text your callers under this plan. Texting callers on your behalf needs your business to be registered with the phone carriers first, and we would only set it up with your agreement. Our SMS terms would then apply to those texts.
What your callers hear
At the start of every call, the receptionist tells the caller that they are talking with an AI assistant and that the call is recorded. By default we keep the call as a written transcript, not as an audio recording. This notice plays on every call and can't be turned off. If a law that applies to your business requires a different notice or the caller's consent for AI answering or for recording calls, tell us before you turn on forwarding.
Your responsibilities
You agree that:
- You own or control the business phone line you forward to SnagACall, and every other phone number you give us for your business.
- The details you give us about your business are accurate and complete, and you will tell us when they change.
- You will use SnagACall only to answer people who call your business. You won't use SnagACall or your SnagACall number to call people or to send marketing or promotional texts.
- You will follow the laws that apply to your business and your callers, including laws on calls, texts, call recording and privacy. When you contact callers yourself, for example by calling or texting them back from your own phone, that contact is your responsibility.
- If a caller asks you to delete what they told SnagACall, or tells you they don't want to hear from your business, you will tell us at hello@snagacall.com.
Weekly test calls
When you sign up you agree that SnagACall may place one automated test call per week to your business line to check that forwarding and the receptionist still work, plus one retry that week if the test cannot finish, plus any test call you ask for. A test call may ring your line before it forwards. If someone answers, they hear a short automated message and the call ends. We use the results to email you, and we may alert you sooner when a test fails. Test calls are never leads.
A test shows how your line worked at the time of that call. It doesn't guarantee that your line works at other times. You can stop test calls at any time by emailing hello@snagacall.com or telling us any other way. Without them, we can't confirm that your line is working.
Price, free leads and billing
SnagACall has no monthly fee and no setup fee. You pay $20 USD for each lead, and never more than $197 USD in one monthly billing period. Stripe processes payments, and we don't receive or store full card numbers. The price is also shown on our pricing page.
Free leads. Your first 5 leads are free. A setup request doesn't charge you or start a subscription. We ask for a payment card when your line is ready to go live, and nothing is charged for your first 5 leads. After that, each lead is added to your bill once its dispute window has closed, up to $197 USD in a billing period, and your card is charged once at the end of the period. A billing period with no leads costs nothing.
Any sales tax that applies is in addition to the price. Your phone carrier's own charges for your business line, including any charges for forwarding calls, are yours to pay. We won't charge you any other fee for SnagACall, and there is no monthly fee, unless we tell you about it and you agree first. If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then. If a payment fails, we will ask you to update your payment details. If it isn't fixed, we may pause or end the service.
What counts as a lead
A lead (also called a job request) is a call to your business that the AI receptionist answers, where the caller leaves a callback number and describes a job they need done. These are never leads: spam, robocalls, sales calls, wrong numbers, calls about a job or bill already underway and our own test calls. Each call summary we email you says whether the call counted as a lead.
Disputes. If you think a call shouldn't count, reply to its summary or email hello@snagacall.com within 7 days of the call, and we take it off your bill. If disputes are used to avoid paying for real leads, we may stop accepting them or end the service.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time using the billing link on your private setup page, or by emailing hello@snagacall.com. There's no cancellation fee. If you cancel before your free leads are used, you won't be charged. After you cancel, nothing more is charged, not even for leads still inside their dispute window. The service ends when you ask us to end it.
When the service ends:
- SnagACall stops answering new calls and stops weekly test calls. Summaries from calls already completed may still arrive.
- Calls that still forward to your SnagACall number hear a short message and then the call ends. We then release the SnagACall number. After that, forwarded calls won't reach anyone.
- If you connected an existing number, turn off call forwarding on your business line and turn your carrier voicemail back on. If you chose a new number, remove it from your listings and ads. We will help if you ask. Until you do, callers you miss can't leave you a voicemail.
- Your business phone number stays yours. SnagACall never takes over your number, your phone or your carrier account.
- The SnagACall number belongs to our phone account, not yours. If you want to keep it, ask before you cancel and we will tell you whether that's possible.
We may pause or end the service if you don't pay, if you break these terms, or if our phone provider, the carriers or the law require it. We will tell you by email when we can. Leads are billed after they happen, so there is never prepaid time to lose. If we end the service for a reason that isn't your fault, we won't charge for any leads in that final period.
No guarantee of delivery or results
We work to keep SnagACall running, but we can't guarantee that every missed call will forward, that the receptionist will answer every call or understand every caller, that every summary will be correct or delivered, or that anything will happen at a particular time. Phone carriers, your phone system, our phone and AI providers and internet providers are outside our control. Messages may be delayed or fail to arrive.
We don't promise any business result, such as more jobs or more revenue, or that callers will stay on the line, give their details or hire you.
Warranty disclaimer
Apart from what these terms say, SnagACall is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, EarlyCo makes no other promises about SnagACall, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and does not promise that SnagACall will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, EarlyCo is not liable for lost profits, lost jobs, lost revenue, lost data, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, even if we knew they were possible. EarlyCo's total liability for all claims about SnagACall or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for SnagACall in the three months before the event that led to the claim. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Claims caused by your use
If someone makes a claim against EarlyCo because you broke these terms or the law, because information you gave us was wrong, or because of how you contacted your callers yourself, you will cover EarlyCo's reasonable costs of that claim, including reasonable legal fees. We will tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in the defense.
Acceptable use
Don't use SnagACall:
- for anything illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or to forward a phone line you don't own or control;
- to place calls or send marketing or promotional texts;
- for a type of business or call that our phone provider or the carriers don't allow;
- to collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, health information or other sensitive information from callers;
- to sell caller information, or share it with others for their own use;
- to interfere with the service, get around its AI and recording notice or other safeguards, or reach anyone else's account or data.
The rules of our phone provider, the Twilio Acceptable Use Policy, also apply to how you use SnagACall.
Privacy and your callers' information
Our privacy notice explains what we collect about you and your callers, how long we keep it and which service providers process it. We process your callers' information on your behalf to provide the service. You receive each caller's name, number, address and what they said about the job, and you agree to use it only to respond to that caller and run your business, and to keep it safe.
The receptionist doesn't keep an audio recording of calls by default. The written transcript is deleted from our voice provider after 30 days. The summaries we email you stay in your inbox, and you control them. When the service ends, we keep what we need for billing, consent and legal records, as the privacy notice describes. To ask us to delete the rest, email hello@snagacall.com.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. For changes that matter to you, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using SnagACall after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Other terms
These terms, the consents you give when you sign up, the privacy notice and the SMS terms are the whole agreement between you and EarlyCo about SnagACall. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part of these terms, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer this agreement to someone else without our written agreement. We may transfer it to a company that takes over SnagACall. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account.
